What a parade! It is always exciting to see everyone! This year’s parade went off without a hitch, and it’s important to acknowledge the work behind the scenes. The following CSCA Board members deserve a huge shoutout: Lisa Vasiloff did another awesome job with all the parade planning and coordination, which starts in the fall and continues until the parade starts; Bob Dee lined up all the antique cars and floats; Lisa Nagel helped with all the paperwork and antique cars and floats check-in; and Christy Curtis and Karen Teeley gracefully organized all the walking groups. Special thanks go to Brenda Nailor for adding pins to 1,000 ribbons, and to the countless other friends and family volunteers who donated their time and effort—we always need you! Stop & Shop donated the watermelons that were cut and distributed to parade participants and spectators. Finally, a huge thank to the Barnstable Police officers who helped with traffic control. If you loved the parade, please consider making a donation or renewing your CSCA membership at cotuitcivicassociation.org/become-a-member/, so we can do it again next year!
Mark your calendars for an important and informative community meeting with the Cotuit Board of Water Commissioners on Tuesday, August 19. The Commissioners have pulled together a panel of experts to bring all of us up to date on all things water.
