Thank you to everyone who attended our recent Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association (CSCA) annual meeting on Tuesday, August 20. We appreciate your continued support and engagement with our community initiatives.
To keep everyone informed, we wanted to share a brief recap of the meeting and provide an update on the Cotuit School Building project. We also want to extend a special thanks to Adam Zais for recording the meeting for those who couldn’t attend. The recording can be viewed on our Wistia channel.
Annual Meeting Recap
CSCA President Carol Zais quickly completed the lone agenda item of the evening: the approval of the new CSCA Board members for a three-year term. We’re pleased to announce that the proposed slate of members was approved nearly unanimously.
Cotuit School Building and Property Update
With the business of the meeting completed, the focus shifted to an important community matter. Following the Annual Meeting, the evening was turned over to Patty Daley of the Cotuit Community Center organization to provide an update on the status of the school building and surrounding property. Ms. Daley updated the attendees on the work completed by the “Cotuit School Ad Hoc Committee” and shared the recommendations submitted to the Prudential Committee.
More information and a copy of the PowerPoint presentation have been posted on the Cotuit Community Center website under the “Updates” section.
Next Steps: Prudential Committee Meeting
Now that the Ad Hoc Committee has completed its task, the Prudential Committee is responsible for reviewing the recommendations and initiating the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The next meeting of the Prudential Committee is Monday, August 26 at 6 p.m at Freedom Hall and via Zoom. The full agenda is available on the Cotuit Fire District website.
We encourage all members to attend the upcoming meeting, either in person or via Zoom, to stay informed and involved.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our community.
