June 2025 President’s Corner

Summer is upon us, and the Civic Association Events Committee is hard at work planning next month’s Fourth of July Parade.

Last year’s parade featured bands, floats, costumes, a fly-by from Joint Base Cape Cod, and enough candy to last through Halloween. We look forward to welcoming back past participants and hope to see new groups and floats joining this year!

To help us plan, all walking groups, floats, and antique cars should complete the Parade Application and email it to events@cotuitcivicassociation.com. And it’s not too early for parade-goers to make a plan, either. The parade starts at 11 a.m., but the surrounding roads start closing an hour earlier, so remember to alert your guests.

As always, we need volunteers to assist with crowd and traffic control to ensure a safe event. If you can help, or if you have questions or feedback, please reach us at events@cotuitcivicassociation.com.

The Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association is looking for a few individuals to join our 12-member board! Serving on the board is a great opportunity to serve the community. We meet once a month from April to December to discuss topics important to Cotuit. We try to identify the needs and concerns of the Village, inform residents about matters that affect them, and represent the needs and concerns to the Town government. And we also sponsor community-building village activities such as the Fourth of July Parade. Email the address below if you are interested in joining the board.
