April 16, 2024 7:00 pm

Location
Freedom Hall
976 Main St, Cotuit, MA 02635
Additional Information

The Cotuit Water Commission invites villagers to attend a public forum on Tuesday, April 16, 7 p.m. at Freedom Hall to discuss two important proposals:

  • an article to expand the authority of the Water Commission to work with private property owners to enhance water quality near the wellfields by upgrading septic systems with better treatment. State legislative action would be needed after District approval.
  • the Affordable Access to Drinking Water policy, which would provide every District resident a minimum of 20,000 gallons of water per year for $40, half the current cost. This reduction would be offset by an increase for customers using more than 60,000 gallons per year
